Watch Me See’s Private Glasgow Tour (in English & auf Deutsch)

Watch Me See Glasgow Tour - private walking tour Glasgow with a local - Glasgow Stadtführung auf Deutsch

I have been running private and customised city tours of Glasgow in German and English since 2017.

*** German description below. – Deutsche Beschreibung weiter unten. ***

Whether you’re looking for a flavour from each corner of Glasgow, or an in-depth tour around one of the neighbourhoods – I’ll take you to the city’s attractions, cool photo spots, great eateries, bars and pubs, street art and vintage shops, and can tell you little more about life in Glasgow!

I moved to Glasgow in 2013 and fell head over heels in love – with the city’s architecture, the variety of cultural activities on offer and most importantly with Glasgow’s people. Now, I want to share my passion for the city with you!

My tours are always private (for up to 6 people in your group; larger groups on request) and the route is fully customisable to fit your interests. I can include the main attractions and sites of interest, such as Glasgow Cathedral, the Necropolis, George Square and the Merchant City, the River Clyde, University of Glasgow, Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Park & Museum and much more. I am happy to include museums in the day’s itinerary, or end the tour at a museum of your choice to allow you to take it in on your own time. I am also happy to consider special interests – local heroes such as Charles Rennie Mackintosh or Billy Connelly; street art and murals on and beyond the City Centre Mural Trail; whisky and craft beers; shopping or vintage shopping and many more!

  • Duration: 3 Hours
  • Cost: £60 (pay in advance via bank transfer or in cash)
  • Group size: max. 6 people; larger groups on request

What my Guests say:

Joy & Jimmy, Boston (USA) – November 2018
‘What’s great about Kathi is that she took the time to learn what we wanted, and she gave us options for a week in November.  A highlight: Exploring Glasgow, on foot with Kathi. She knew where the murals are. She introduced us to Rocco, the kind-hearted Italian- and Spanish-speaking fellow who sells coffee from a TARDIS’. She even visited a donut shop with us. The plan to get to know Scotland on a deeper level became reality as we discovered Glasgow through Kathi’s eyes.’

Anna-Maria & Ted, Ontario (Canada) – August 2018
‘We had the pleasure of meeting Kathi in person for an afternoon tour of Glasgow. We walked through the city and took in many sites. With only a short time in the city it was the perfect way to see and learn about many highlights and Kathi’s knowledge and enthusiasm for Glasgow were exceptional.’

Jay & Joanne, Michigan (USA) – July 2018
‘Our 1st afternoon in Glasgow with you taking us around was also wonderful. We enjoyed meeting you and found your insight to the city and the country great. Lovely beers in the late afternoon and the restaurant suggestions also. The remaining part of our journey through Scotland was made better with your guidance. I wouldn’t hesitate to once again have your help and advice.’

Erin, Canada – Oct 2017
‘Kathi was an amazing tour guide! She tailored our tour to our interests and knew a lot about local facts. It was like hanging out with a good friend for the afternoon :)’

Daniela, Argentina – Sept 2017
‘We met Kathi in Glasgow and had the pleasure to spend 3 hours strolling around the wonderful city. Kathi is attentive and always eager to make the most out of the experience. We visited parks, the universities, art galleries, watched street art….She adapted perfectly well to all of us. Highly recommendable!!’
